Description
NBR/NITRILE Rubber Sheeting
Copolymers of butadiene and acrylonitrile, usually known as NITRILE RUBBERS

Depending on the acrylonitrile content (ACN) NBR can be classified as: Low ACN (18-24%). Medium ACN (34%) and High ACN (50%) content.

With increasing the ACN content of NBR, resistance to oils, fuel, etc. be increased, tensile strength, resistance to abrasion, hardness, temperature resistance and permeability be improved.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE of NBR
  • Good resistance to most inorganic chemical products, apart from antioxidizing agents and chlorides.
  • Satisfactory resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, but limited resistance to aromatics.

PROPERTIES of NBR
  • Resistance to oils, and can be formulated for applications at relatively high temperatures.
  • Good mechanical properties, such as traction, compression and flexion.
  • Impermeable to gases.
